2023 Rully Blanc Les Margotes

The 2023 Rully Margotés 1er Cru comes from vines planted in 1946. This is more reticent on the nose compared to other cuvées. It's quite austere with crushed stone and light apple blossom aromas. The palate is lightly spiced on the entry, oddly reminding me more of Semillon Gris. This is rather pithy, with hints of nectarine and grapefruit and a slight attenuation on the finish. It's very fine.
