Note di degustazione
The 2023 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru has turned out very nicely, wafting from the glass with aromas of raspberries, blood orange, rose petals, incense and spices. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, with a deep core of succulent fruit, chalky tannins and a long, saline finish, it reveals excellent potential.

The 2023 Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru includes around 60% whole cluster. It was unusually reticent on the nose, a little earthy and a bit sullen on the day that I visited. The palate is medium-bodied, quite linear and strict, with fine tension and an understated entry where the limestone terroir comes through. Hopefully, it will gain more flesh and weight by bottling time. At the moment, I err toward the Latricières-Chambertin.
