A darker ruby, with an engaging deep cherry and raspberry fruit, fresher perhaps than the Chambolle, with an excellent backbone. A glossy feeling throughout while the whole bunches both lift the finish and bring some wild strawberries into play.

Descended from the Gros family of Vosne-Romanée, Anne-Françoise Gros established her own domaine in 1988. Today her children, Caroline and Mathias Parent, run the estate, which has some impressive holdings, focused in and around Vosne-Romanée.
