The 2023 Bourgogne Blanc Clos du Château has a light bouquet with lemon verbena and clementine scents. It needs a little more clarity. The palate is well balanced and quite spicy with a slightly honeyed entry and a texturally satisfying, pithy finish. Fine.

Mid yellow in colour, with generous ripe chardonnay aromatics, fills the mouth, correct acidity, good length. You get exactly what you expect and it is good. In the light of their long term ecological ambitions, one hectare at the bottom of the vineyard has been interplanted with small trees to encourage biodiversity.
