The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Songes Vieilles Vignes includes 60% whole bunch with around 25% new oak. It has impressive energy and focus on the nose featuring dark berry fruit tones. It's a little more closed than the Les Jouises at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with a riper entry than the Les Jouises. There's more opulence and "sun-kissed" fruit here. It's grippy on the finish, but needs a little more finesse and precision.
