A blend of Chardonnay complemented by some 30% Pinot Blanc, the 2016 Extra-Brut Présence delivers aromas of quince, crisp orchard fruit and coniferous forest, followed by a medium to full-bodied, taut and racy palate. It's vinified without any added sulfites, and I'd be inclined to approach it in its youth.

The 2016 Extra Brut Sans Soufre Présence is bright, precise and nuanced with tremendous energy and tons of sheer class. Judging by the wines in this range, the Sans Soufre style works far better with white varieties than with red. The Présence sizzles with tension and mineral-infused energy. I loved it. No dosage.
