Note di degustazione
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Estournelles Saint-Jacques 1er Cru has a slightly minty, generous bouquet compared to the Les Cazetiers, very pure in style and nicely defined. The palate is supple on the entry and smooth in texture, with a plump, caressing and quite detailed finish that is very classy. A little gem from Jadot.

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles Saint-Jacques (Domaine Louis Jadot) offers up attractive aromas of red plums, wild berries, citrus rind and coniferous forest floor. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and layered, with nice flesh and concentration, underpinned by a bright line of animating acidity.
Cask sample. Heady, pure, essence of raspberry on the nose. Succulent, ripe fruit. Lots of sweetness. And relatively early appeal. The subtlety is yet to show itself! Clean and flattering. Very juicy before the clean cut of fine tannins. (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
