Note di degustazione
The 2019 Bastor-Lamontagne just lacks a bit of complexity and botrytis concentration on the nose, though there is at least an element of purity and there is more personality than the 2019 d'Arche. The palate has a sweet 'n sour entry, with honeyed layers, but as if a dried lemon has been squeezed and the two parts don't really gel together. Not sure about this. Tasted blind at the Southwold annual tasting.

Tasted blind. Pungent and zesty with drive though no great intensity of sweetness. A little light. Toasty finish and just a little sugary. (JR)
The 2019 Bastor-Lamontagne has the same airiness on the nose that I remarked upon from barrel, featuring scents of yellow plum, white flowers and traces of saffron. The palate is fresh, clean and precise, if maybe just missing a little weight and viscosity on the finish. Still, this should drink well for the next decade.
