2020 Ruchottes Chambertin

The 2020 Ruchottes-Chambertin Grand Cru has a very seductive bouquet with ripe red berry fruit, potpourri, hints of loam and crushed stone. The oak is beautifully integrated. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, black fruit rather than red, and plenty of minerals and spice. It is pretty animated in the mouth. It may be a little gawky in its youth, but I can see the potential. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
