Red and black fruits, spicy oak, loamy earth, and graphite all define the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard, a medium to full-bodied, round, layered, impressive wine from this site. It clearly does well in the vintage, and while it's singing today, I see no reason it shouldn't evolve nicely over the coming 15 years.

In this vintage, said owner-winemaker Mike Smith, portions of the rows actually benefited from being shaded by the homestead and trees on the property. The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Bourn Vineyard features ripe cherries and dark chocolate on the nose, but it doesn't come across as being overdone. It's full-bodied, plush and supple in the mouth, with plenty of length to the finish and hints of warmth.
