2016 Gevrey Chambertin Les Platieres

The 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Platières is brilliant, bursting from the glass with aromas of cassis, wild berries, game bird, woodsmoke and spices, subtly framed by new oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, with fabulous concentration, a rich chassis of powdery tannins, succulent acids and a long, resonant finish. This is a very compelling Gevrey from Guyon and is well worth seeking out.
