Note di degustazione
The 2016 Pouget has a well-defined bouquet with touches of dark chocolate emanating from the new oak, although there seems to be sufficient fruit tucked behind. The medium-bodied palate delivers rather sharp tannins, although the finish seems to lack a bit of body and feels somewhat attenuated at present. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting.

Tasted blind. Deep lustrous crimson. Rich and sweet. Too oaky. Almost chocolatey. Tannins a bit grating on the end. (JR)
Currant and condensed berry aromas pop out of the glass. Medium body, soft and silky tannins and a clean and delicate finish. Drink or hold.
The deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Pouget is oaky—very oaky—on the nose with cassis and plums in the background and some earthy notions. The medium to full-bodied palate is firm, chewy and very oaky with a woody finish.
