Grand Cru Classé as of the 2022 vintage. 85% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc. Decent, typical St-Émilion in an accessible and soft style. Fine tannins, very bright acid. It finishes with a bitter twist but its entirely acceptable for this level of bordeaux. (RH)

The 2018 Montlabert is a plump, fruity Saint-Émilion to drink over the near and medium-term. Although not especially complex, the 2018 is tasty and easy to enjoy. Sweet floral and spice notes add perfume to this alluring Saint-Émilion. The tannins could use more polish, though. Tasted two times.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Millaud Montlabert opens with notes of preserved plums, warm blackberries and blueberry pie plus touches of garrigue, fragrant earth and black pepper. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is taut and energetic, with firm, round tannins and a lively finish.
