The 2022 Chardonnay Bien Nacido Vineyard is pure and vibrant on the nose, exuding spice-driven and savory aromas with beautiful clarity. The palate continues this energy and melds it with a rich, gently decadent texture lined by this site's signature stony framework. Already impressively integrated, this should provide great pleasure in the near to mid-term and, given its track record, hold for well beyond a decade.

The 2022 Chardonnay Bien Nacido Vineyard Santa Barbara Historic Vineyards Collection is a gorgeous, nuanced white. Citrus peel, white pepper, white flowers, mint and crushed rocks all grace this taut, wonderfully vibrant Chardonnay. This is a pretty chiseled style, especially considering it was aged mostly in new 350-liter barrels. This is a terrific example of Bien Nacido.
