Note di degustazione
Pretty and charming, the 2017 Paveil de Luze bursts with aromas of sweet plus, loamy soil, pencil shavings and orange rind. Medium-bodied, supple and perfumed, it's seamless and elegant, a wine that will drink well before its more serious 2019 and 2016 stablemates.

The 2017 Paveil de Luze is a very pretty wine that could use another year or two in bottle to fully come together. Savory Cabernet Sauvignon aromatics give the 2017 much of its distinctive perfume. Sweet red cherry, tobacco, cedar, dried flowers and herbs all open up in the glass. Medium in body and nicely expressive, the 2017 has a lot to offer, especially within its peer group.
The 2017 Chateau Paveil De Luze offers a beautiful Margaux elegance as well as complex notes of red and black currants, cedary herbs, unsmoked tobacco, and spice. It's a quintessential, medium-bodied, elegant Margaux that has silky tannins, rock-solid depth of fruit and intensity, and a great finish. Based on 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, from more sandy, gravelly soils and aged a year in 30% new oak, drink this beautiful, elegant effort over the coming 10-12 years.
80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot. Mid ruby, a little more developed in colour than some. Marked herbaceous aroma of blackcurrant leaf – an aroma I like but not for those who like ripe plummy fruit. Fine, supple and would be approachable with food. Nicely dry and fresh on the finish. (JH)
