Note di degustazione
66% Roussanne, 34% Grenache Blanc. Tasted blind. Buttery, creamy nose with plenty of oak spice too. The palate stays perky from a good dash of citric zestiness and there is concentrated fruit on the length. Bold but not brash. (RH)

Pale yellow-gold. A wild, expansive bouquet evokes fresh citrus and tropical fruits, pungent flowers, minerals and what was once an illicit herb. Sappy, seamless and penetrating on the palate, offering concentrated pineapple, tangerine, poached pear and honey flavors that firm up slowly on the back half. Shows superb clarity and minerally thrust on the floral-tinged finish, which hangs on with serious tenacity.
Slightly deeper colored, the 2017 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Clos de Beauvenir is richer and unquestionably more powerful. Buttered citrus, white flowers, honeysuckle, spice, and caramelized tangerine notes all flow to a full-bodied, concentrated, yet fresh and vibrant red that has everything you could want from a white from this region.
Consistently one of the most age-worthy whites in the appellation, the 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape Blanc Clos de Beauvenir continues that tradition, framing gentle citrus fruit notes in a delicate frame of pencil shavings and vanilla from new oak. It's full-bodied and richly textured, easing into a lively finish of lingering lime zest.
