2000 Shiraz Old Bastard

Their last vintage of spur-pruned vines, only tiny yields and 130 dozen made. There are tarry elements here, as well as a spicy edge and hints of pepper and black fruit that is still quite fresh. The palate has a smooth feel with some tighter, sinewy elements to the tannin structure. There’s a cooler feel to the fruit with more blue-toned flavors. Drink now.
