Note di degustazione
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Cazetiers 1er Cru is a serious leap up in quality from the Les Poissenots. The bouquet features lovely pure red berry fruit laced with minerals and wilted flowers. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, smooth texture and a fine bead of acidity. There is still some oak to be assimilated toward the finish, but this should drink well for at least a dozen years once bottled.

More reserved and austere than Jadot's other Gevrey premiers crus, the 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers (Maison Louis Jadot) exhibits notes of sweet berries, plums, coniferous forest floor and wood smoke, followed by a medium-bodied, chewy palate that may flesh out by the time it's bottled.
Cask sample. Bright crimson. Sweet, spicy nose that is almost reminiscent of cinnamon! Not 100% sure I want this from a red burgundy but there is good structure. Emphatic. Not the finest. (JR)

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
