The 2015 Franciacorta Annamaria Zero is wonderfully rich yet pure and precise, opening with an air of almond custard, dried flowers, incense and spices complicating hints of yellow apples. Broad and pliant, it washes across the palate with weighty waves of silken bubbles lifted by brisk acidity as crisp orchard fruit tones cascade throughout, taking on a salty sensation toward the close. Tactile and incredibly long, this finishes with tension, leaving hints of lemon oil and hazelnut to linger on. The 2015 is stacked yet beautifully balanced for a long and steady evolution.
