The 2012 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruenchers is suave and silky on the palate, with real textural richness and intensity, two of the signatures of the year. Good deep, bright red. Sexy, musky aromas of black raspberry and underbrush. Ripe, rich and thick, with a tangy quality that comes more from underlying minerality than from acidity. Dense, dark fruit flavors show lovely finesse and early charm. Finishes firmly tannic and quite long.
