The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Combottes 1er Cru is gorgeous. Deep, powerful and explosive, the Combottes offers striking dimension and a level of complexity that really distinguishes it in this range. Black cherry, plum, lavender, spice and menthol infuse the 2018 with tremendous character and complexity. The 2018 Combottes is superb. I only hope I have a chance to taste it from bottle. - Antonio Galloni

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Combottes is showing especially well, exhibiting more depth and energy than the Charmes of Échanges. Offering up notes of cherries, raspberries, sweet spices and vanilla pod, it's medium to full-bodied, lively and succulent, with powdery tannins, a layered core of fruit and a penetrating finish.
