This vintage shows sweetness and plump fruit tones of jammy cherry and raspberry. The Fattoria le Pupille 2020 Poggio Valente is a hot-vintage wine with the extra volume and texture you would expect. That pretty softness gives the wine a pleasing and mellow personality with the firmness needed to hold the wine together structurally speaking.

The 2020 Poggio Valente's, a varietal of Sangiovese, notes are amplified in a heady, effortless Tuscan red that hits all the right notes. Dark red/purplish fruit, rose petals, licorice, cedar and tobacco fill out the layers. The 2020 impresses with its superb balance and class.
100% Syrah. Not yet released. 30% whole bunch. Five months skin contact. Picked third week of September. Purplish crimson. Still very unformed. Just ingredients. (JR)
