The 2023 Fiano di Bocca di Lupo is delicate in the glass, melding white peach and raw almond with an enriching hint of baking spice. It's soft-textured and round with a salty tinge to its ripe fruits, as apricot and nectarine blend over a crisp mineral core. This finishes with excellent length and a tug of youthful tension, leaving nuances of hazelnut that add further complexity. Give this complex beauty some time to flesh out.

The organic Tenuta Bocca di Lupo 2023 Fiano di Bocca di Lupo is fermented in tonneau and remained a little shy when I tasted it, opening slowly to orchard fruit and a green note of apple or pear. Active limestone makes this wine different from Fiano that you would find in the neighboring Campania region (with volcanic soils). This wine closes with upfront freshness and elegant textural silkiness.
