Punteggio 91-93/100 · Da bere 2024-2029, Eric Guido, Vinous, Jul 2024

Youthfully coy, the 2023 Pecorino opens with a blend of sweet herbs, wildflowers and young peaches. This is juicy to the core with stimulating minerality and exotic citrus tones, all propelled by acidity. It tapers off fantastically fresh and long with a citrusy concentration that puckers the cheeks. This is a softer and more fruit-forward rendition of Pepe's Percorino. However, after careful selection, just 25% of the usual production was delivered to the winery.

Punteggio 91-93/100 · Da bere 2026-2029, Eric Guido, Vinous

The 2023 Pecorino is understated and coy with a nuanced mix of lemon zest and crushed green apple. This is more salty than sweet, with a tart orchard fruit and liquid yellow flower concentration all guided by juicy acidity. A vivid mix of nectarine and apricot lingers as the 2023 reveals its mineral component, tapering off crunchy and long.
