Good medium red. Strong torrefaction notes dominate the nose. Sweeter and deeper than the basic village Chambolle, displaying lush fruit but also a distinct impression of alcohol. A more aggressive style, finishing with chocolatey tannins and a fiery quality. Plenty of fruit here, but were the grapes picked too late?

(65% new oak, vs. about one-third for the village wines) Good medium red. Very ripe aromas of black raspberry, mocha and curry powder; plenty of oak showing today. Then sweet and fine-grained, with dark raspberry fruit saturating the palate. But today this seems quite oaky, and the finish shows a dryness from the wood tannins.
