2021 Rioja Reserva

The 2021 Reserva is a Tempranillo-based blend with Maturana Tinta and Graciano from Rioja Oriental, aged 20 months in barrel. In the glass, it shows a deep garnet color and offers ripe cherry and plum aromas with soft herbal and spice notes framed by attractive oak. On the palate it is broad yet agile, with polished but slightly reactive tannins. Its finish brings a faintly drying, almost expectorant edge and moderate length. Overall, this is a sound, well-judged Rioja that benefits from the definition of the 2021 vintage.
