2018 Echezeaux

The 2018 Echézeaux Grand Cru comes from the lieux-dits of Quartier de Nuits and Les Troux. This is missing a little definition on the nose, the 100% new oak oppressing the fruit at the moment. The palate is well defined on the entry and demonstrates more composure than the nose, delivering plenty of energy; orange zest/blood orange appear toward the finish. It is the aromatics that need to get their act together.
