Note di degustazione
(10% new oak): Medium red. Redcurrant, raspberry and spices on the nose. At once pliant and sappy, with a touch of austerity to the flavors of red fruits, brown spices and earth. Much more about soil than simply sweet fruits. The slightly edgy tannins and firm acids leave the salivary glands quivering. This may be for drinking after the 2015, notes Frédéric Magnien.

Lovely peppery dark fruits on the nose, ripe but not overripe. Then soft and dark-fruited on the palate, though the tannins are to the fore at the moment giving a dry finish. Quite the opposite of flashy but none the worse for that. (JH)
(from red and orange clay soil over rock on the mid-slope): Healthy dark red. Subtly perfumed, soil-driven scents of minerals, dried flowers and musky underbrush, with a distinct iron quality. Offers a classic Morey blend of savory and sweet, with the flavors of brown spices, flowers, iron and earth already conveying strong personality. A concentrated, serious Morey for aging, this is about much more than simple Pinot fruit.
