2015 Vosne Romanee 1er Cru

The 2015 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru is a blend of Les Petits Monts and Les Chaumes, representing two and a half barrels. It has a delectable bouquet with perfumed red cherries, crushed strawberry and hints of iodine, the mineralité surfacing with just a few swirls of the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with blood orange tincturing the black and red fruit, fine structure and superb precision on the finish. There is a sense of completeness here, partly because it emanates from such highly regarded premier crus. This comes highly recommended.
