2020 Friulano Collio

The 2020 Friulano is delicate and understated in the glass, as peach skins and young mango give way to wet slate. It’s deeply textural, almost oily in feel, yet with bright acidity and cooling minerality to balance, as pretty inner florals arch across the palate. Its mineral-tinged orchard fruits come through in the finish and last incredibly long, while tapering off with a salty flourish. The 2020 is a nicely refined Friulano that could use a short stay in the cellar to develop more of its aromatics.
