Some nerve and tension to this sweet wine though no obvious botrytis. Quite long though. (JR)
The 2018 Château de Myrat has a very perfumed bouquet, aromas of dried honey, marmalade, peach and light almond paste wafting from the glass. The palate is well balanced with orange pith, mango and caramelized pear on the entry. Very harmonious, with a slightly viscous finish, although I would have liked just a tad more acidic bite here. Fine.
The 2018 de Myrat has a very pure bouquet with yellow flower scents filtering through the honey and acacia aromas. The palate is very cohesive and has a lovely viscosity. Smooth with honey, white chocolate and quince notes towards the almost nonchalant finish. This is probably too easy to drink in its youth but I am sure it will age with style.
