Note di degustazione
The 2022 Pinot Noir Goldrock Estate, matured in around 33% new French oak, has a deep well of aromas: pomegranate is accented by tones of charcuterie, fennel seed, allspice and Angostura bitters. The medium-bodied palate is silky and refreshing with detailed, layered flavors and a long, ethereal finish. It’s drinking beautifully straight from the bottle. 1,600 cases produced.

From the remote area of Annapolis, the 2022 Pinot Noir Goldrock Estate pours a youthful magenta hue and is a bit more reserved, but as it begins to open in the glass, it reveals notes of bright mixed berries, wild raspberries, blood orange, and dusty earth. Medium-bodied, it’s bright and mouthwatering on the palate, with a juicy feel to flesh out the midpalate and a lovely, sanguine, salty finish. It’s going to be a fantastic, savory wine to drink over the coming 10-15 years. 1600 cases were produced.
The 2022 Pinot Noir Goldrock Estate shows all the savory and mineral energy of this site on the West Sonoma Coast, in the understated style of the year. Crushed rocks, blood orange, sage, mint and white pepper open first. The 2022 offers a captivating mix of energy and mid-weight structure that is hugely appealing.
