Note di degustazione
The 2021 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru is a little rustic on the nose compared to its peers, with red cherries, a hint of balsamic and white flowers. Quite open for a Grand Cru at this early juncture, it develops a New World-like personality. The palate is medium-bodied, a bit soft and squidgy, with appealing clean raspberry and strawberry fruit, though the finish is missing some complexity and does not stick in the memory. More for early drinking. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.

The 2021 Clos Saint-Denis Grand Cru has a tightly wound bouquet comprised of dark berry fruit and touches of undergrowth and tar. Broody! The palate is medium-bodied with succulent tannins, fine acidity, a bit of chewiness and a strong marine influence on the finish. This will need some time in bottle.
