The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is one of the more open-knit Cabernets I have ever tasted here. Although the 2017 does not have the depth or dimension of the very finest years, in exchange, it will drink well pretty much upon release, which is highly unusual for this typically slow-to-mature Cabernet. Floral and savory overtones add shades of nuance to a core of expressive red-toned fruit in a sensual, totally alluring Cabernet from the Togni family. (AG)

A potent wine, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate possesses tremendous richness and intensity, with a host of super-ripe flavors that give the wine a decidedly exotic feel. The tannins need time to soften, but that should not be an issue over time. Super ripe red cherry, kirsch, sweet tobacco and menthol infuse this racy, forward Cabernet. I can't wait to see how the 2017 develops in time.
