Note di degustazione
Bright medium red. Alluring, fully ripe aromas of raspberry, redcurrant, rose petal, spices and underbrush. A step up in vibrancy from the Cherbaudes, with a powerful crushed-stone minerality contributing tautness to the rich flavors of dark berries, spices and saline minerality. The wine's serious tannins are already nicely integrated with its powerful fruit, but this very long, plush wine calls for patience.

Good deep red. Very stony aromas of blueberry, blackberry and violet. Densely packed, thick and sweet but given structure and grip by ripe acidity and noble tannins. Finishes strong, dense and very long, with sexy lingering sweetness. From vines planted in 1929 in an old quarry and a 1940 planting higher on the hillside, just below the forest.
Fourrier's 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Combe Aux Moines is at once explosive yet floral and weightless. Contrasts abound in a complex, beautifully nuanced Burgundy. Freshly cut flowers, mint, spices and licorice all lift out of the glass effortlessly. This deceptively mid-weight Gevrey packs a serious punch. The lifted, articulate finish is laced with dark cherry and smoke nuances. What a gorgeous wine this is.
Chestnut, savoury nose. Very racy. Bright fruit and very flattering, lots of leafy freshness. Chewy end. Chunky. (JR)
