Note di degustazione
Good summer with rain in October (when they often pick). RS 4–5 g/l and it tastes like it. The current, high-toned vintage. Really very sweet indeed, almost verging on volatile. Masses of alcohol and pretty extreme. This would probably be best served after a meal! Heady and sweet before pronounced grip. But that sweetness means you could think about drinking it now. (JR)

Sampled at the Gravner tasting room from specially made stemless balloon glasses, the 2009 Bianco Breg pours to a fully orange color with brilliant highlights of gold and brightly polished copper. The bouquet here is round and supple, with a softness and subsequent richness that comes from the lacy, velvety nature of the macerated grape skins. You get honey, canned peach, maple syrup and almost sweet honeysuckle-like sensations. There is tannic structure here, but nearly a decade of bottle aging has ironed out any noticeable edges. Josko Gravner suggests drinking this wine at about 57 degrees to 64 degrees Fahrenheit. His daughter pegs the perfect temp at 53 degrees to 60 degrees. Get your thermometers out.
