Note di degustazione
The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Borniques 1er Cru has some slightly cooked fruit on the nose, dark berries and touches of fig and prune. The imprimatur of the season is evident over the terroir. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit. The oak is neatly used and I appreciate the balance and freshness on the finish. It should evolve nicely in bottle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.

Rich aromas of cherries, blackberries, dark chocolate and burning embers introduce the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Bourniques, a medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping wine with a tangy spine of acidy, fine but youthfully chalky tannins and a long, sapid finish.
There are two used barrels of the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Borniques 1er Cru this year. It has a deep inky color. The bouquet is rather marked by the wood, although it is much more assimilated on the palate, which shows impressive energy and balance. The components still need to come together, but they will do so with a few years in bottle.
