The 2014 Marina Cvetic Riserva is 100% Montepulciano that spent 12-18 months in new French oak. This killer wine offers terrific depth of fruit and concentration to go with notes of cassis and blackberry fruits, ground herbs, chocolate, and lots of gravely minerality. Ripe, sexy, and opulent, it shows more and more elegance, as well as a distinct floral character, with time in the glass, has building tannin, and should age beautifully. It’s a steal at the price.
