2012 Sauvignon Sanct Valentin

The 2012 Alto Adige Sauvignon Sanct Valentin is the latest edition in a line of wines that, year after year, are among my favorite expressions of Sauvignon Blanc all’italiana. The purity of the fruit aromas and those tonic green herb aromas are delightful and long-lasting. Just 10% of the wine sees oak contact and that’s just enough to add to the natural heft and momentum of the mouthfeel. This is a striking vintage with a deep inner sense of clarity and focus.
