The Merlot-based 2013 Bolgheri Rosso is a gorgeous entry-level red. Round, pliant and generous on the palate, the 2013 offers lovely density and juiciness. Dark cherry, raspberries, flowers, mint and sweet spices meld into the voluptuous finish. The Rosso is aged in a combination of oak and cement. Given its budget-friendly price, Le Macchiole's Bolgheri Rosso is one of the finest Bolgheri wines in its price range.

Le Macchiole's 2013 Bolgheri Rosso is a full-throttle rendition with bursting notes of dark fruit spice, pressed blackberry and dried cherry. The ripeness is very evident and the aromas are presented as cherry preserves and marmalade. Soft tannins and rich extraction characterize the mouthfeel. This Bolgheri Rosso is made from a blend of Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
