Note di degustazione
The 2015 Côte de Nuits-Villages offers up a preternaturally perfumed nose of rose petal, lilac and cassis. On the palate, the wine lacks a bit of concentration, with firm tannins that clamp down on the finish.

Bright ruby-red. Liqueur-like aromas of black raspberry and dark chocolate. Very ripe, rich and full for CNV, conveying a sexy berry sweetness accentuated by its chocolate element. An element of violet carries through to the ripe, long, rising finish. Not hugely complex or detailed but boasts serious stuffing. One clearly sees the influence of the pre-fermentation cold maceration in the wine's dark color, sweetness and bitter chocolate and violet elements.
Deep crimson. Fresh and leafy on the nose but with a ripe fruit undertow. Lively if indistinct. (JR)
(from old vines in Brochon): Bright ruby-red. Aromas of blackberry, boysenberry and licorice. Supple and creamy in the mid-palate, showing lovely purity and fruit concentration; more unrelievedly black in character than the Bourgogne Pinot Noir, finishing with suave, building tannins. Strong juice.
