Mid straw. Light, fresh nose – much fresher than the premier cru whites I tasted. Mid weight and very solid and dry but pretty brutal. This doesn’t taste as though the grapes properly ripened. Grating, clenching effect on the palate. This already tastes like a 1996! (JR)
