Punteggio 90/100 · Da bere 2021-2029, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Apr 2021

The 2018 Clémentin de Pape Clement Blanc comes skipping out of the glass with bright, cheery notes of fresh pineapple, orange blossoms and Bosc pears, with hints of beeswax and yuzu. The medium-bodied palate has bags of vibrant tropical and citrus fruit flavors with a racy backbone and minerally finish.

The 2018 Clémentin de Pape Clément, bottled June 2019, has just pulled away from the Le Prélat since I tasted them both 12 months ago, offering a little more delineation, with some lovely honeysuckle scents coming through. The palate is well balanced and slightly honeyed, delivering fine acidity and mango and white peach notes laced with vanilla toward the finish. Difficult to resist drinking now, though it should age well over several years.

Forward, medium-bodied, elegant expression of yellow citrus with hints of orange and pear. Sweet, fresh and ready to go, you can enjoy this on release while waiting for the Grand Vin to develop. 89 Points

Beautiful honeyed lemon, white peach, white flowers, and chalky minerality emerge from the 2018 Clementin De Pape Clement Blanc. and it's medium-bodied, with a pure, balanced, elegant texture and terrific length on the finish. It's not a blockbuster, but it offers terrific complexity and loads of up-front charm and class. It's ideal for drinking over the coming 2-3 years.
