A rich ruby purple. The bouquet has a flamboyant weight of fruit backed up by a certain amount of oak as well. Henri finds lime blossom, which adds a further lick of freshness to the vibrant cherries. The fruit continues on the palate long after the fine tannins. Promising.

The 2023 Chambertin Clos-de-Bèze Grand Cru is laced with blue/purplish fruit, spice, cedar, lavender and mint. Readers will find a Bèze of tension and drive more than size. This is a bit hard to read today, but it has potential. The substantial finish is very promising.
