The 2019 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Monts Luisants is another fine success, delivering aromas of plums, cassis, bergamot, spices and violets. Medium to full-bodied, layered and velvety, it's supple and succulent, with melting tannins and lively acids. Of Verdet's three premiers crus, this will drink the best young.
