The velvety texture is even more evident in the 2015 than the 2014, and this is a muscular wine, reflective of a great vintage, with smoked meat, sweet raspberry and blueberry puree flavours that are classic of ripe Merlot, together with the redcurrant, tobacco, white pepper spice, mandarin peel, slate grip and freshness of the soils. Remains a baby at this point, and needs time to soften. Trace of heat on the finish. 60% new oak, Michel Rolland consultant, with the touch of Cabernet Sauvignon that first came into the first wine in 2014. 3.5ph.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2015 Clos Dubreuil offers up notions of baked blackberries, plum preserves and Indian spices with touches of dusty soil and garrigue. Full-bodied and richly fruited, it fills the mouth with spicy black fruit preserves, framed by chewy tannins, finishing firm and with great length.
The sumptuous 2015 Clos Dubreuil speaks in bold tones. Dark plum, espresso, mocha, leather and licorice fill out the wine's plush frame. Even with all of its overtness, the 2015 remains medium in body. More importantly, the tannins that were so problematic at the outset have been nicely tamed by time. Tasted two times.
