Note di degustazione
The 2008 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuvée Nicole Vieilles Vignes is one of the most potent wines in the range. It emerges from vines in the famed Chétillons lieu-dit in Mesnil that are more than 100 years old. Lemon confit, marzipan, dried flowers and candied apricot are all dialed up. Broad, creamy and super expressive, the 2008 is a total delight. Its a great example of what this vintage has to offer in the Côte des Blancs. Dosage is 3 grams per liter. Disgorged: July 2025; multiple disgorgements throughout the year.

Orange rind and spices, such as cardamom on the nose, together with sourdough and fresh fig . Some salted butter, too. It's creamy, supple and silky, with a salty freshness. Soft bubbles. Long and chalky finish. 100% chardonnay from 90-year-old vines. Base wine fermented in stainless steel. Only made in exceptional vintages. Disgorged after 15 years on lees with 5g/L dosage. Drink or hold.
The 2008 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuvee Nicole Vieilles Vignes hails from over 100-year-old vines in Les Chetillons. Rich and ample, this is an especially dense wine from Mesnil Baked apple, dried flowers, chamomile, spice and tangerine peel all build in the glass. The 2008 is in a perfect spot for drinking today. The aromatics show the first signs of maturity, and yet the wine remains deep and quite powerful, surprisingly so. Dosage is 3.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: July 2024.
