The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle has an attractive bouquet with red plum and a touch of hoisin in the background, well-defined with sufficient Pinoté. The palate is medium-bodied with quite strict tannins. It tapers a little on the mid-palate – the finish needs a little more flesh to match the aromatics. Give this two or three years in bottle, and let's see where we are.

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle is hard to resist, wafting from the glass with notes of cherries, plums, spices and vine smoke, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and charming palate that's fleshy and polished, with a succulent core of fruit and melting tannins.
The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin La Brunelle has impressive transparency and delineation on the nose with perfumed red fruit mixed with sous-bois and hints of morels. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, well balanced with gentle grip, maybe just requiring more flesh on the perceptibly attenuating finish. Fine.
