Punteggio 87-88/100 · Da bere 2013-2019, Robert Parker, Apr 2013

Owned by the proprietor of Chateau Lafleur (the Guinaudeau family), this blend of 93% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc was harvested between September 24 and October 12. It is a sexy, elegant, fruity effort with lots of raspberry and cherry notes, medium body and sweet tannin. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

Punteggio 17.5/20 · Da bere 2014-2020, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, Apr 2013

Louima = a particular parcel of Grand Village Sauvignon Blanc, first vintage of new vines. Working on the lees, some barrel ferment. The parcel stood out as worthy of bottling separately. Only 240 bottles and 150 magnums. On the nose, delicate and stony but with a hint of floral zest and spicy complexity. Strong drive across the palate. A really fine terroir wine rather than a fine Sauvignon. Then more aromatic on the mid palate and long, creamy aftertaste. A fine white wine. Very long. Dry but surprisingly rich and rounded in the mouth. (JH)
