Note di degustazione
A rock-solid effort in the vintage, the 2021 Château Maillet reveals a dense purple hue as well as vibrant, fresh aromatics of ripe blackberries, plums, chocolate, and sappy, floral nuances. With medium-bodied richness, a layered, elegant mouthfeel, and the juicy, fresher, cooler style of the vintage, it has terrific concentration, as well as some background oak. It will benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and drink nicely over the following decade.

The 2021 Maillet turned out beautifully. Succulent red cherry, red plum, mocha and spice are nicely pushed forward. A touch of blood orange adds an exotic flair. This mid-weight, juicy Pomerol is very nicely balanced. Today, it's a joy to taste.
Good depth on the nose showing a “modern” touch of dark chocolate and espresso on top of the black plums and berries. Tight and fine-grained on the palate with medium to full body and a juicy, flavorful finish. Better from 2024.
The 2021 Maillet has a light but attractive bouquet with dark cherries, violet and a hint of Provençal herbs. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins, a simple Pomerol that attenuates rather sharply on the finish.
